Donna, a resident of Mercer County, NJ, has been involved with computer programming and development projects for over 20 years.
Donna earned her BA in Chemistry and Ph.D. in Computational Chemistry from Rutgers University. She was employed at Bristol-Myers Squibb in Princeton in the Department of Macromolecular Modeling, where she worked on various pioneering programs for studying protein structures, small molecule permeation through lipid membranes and mining the human genome. She has over 30 papers published in peer reviewed journals. In an effort to make the results of these large scale simulations available to chemists and biologists in various ways and on various computer platforms, Donna focused her attention on the development of web-based user-interfaces to extract and manipulate data from large databases.
Donna's free-lance work still includes clients in the Pharmaceutical industry and acedemics. She still writes scripts for manipulating data such as PDB files, FASTA files and other BioInformatics type databases.
We also do custom programming for projects such as scheduling lab equipment, surveys, elections, etc.
Donna is also past-president of the local chapter of the American Chemical Society and was program chair for the 2003 Middle Atlantic Regional Meeting.
She continues to be active in the ACS and teaches General Chemistry at Rider University.
